Today, the excitement took over everyone involved with the DBIFF as we heard that a call for submissions could be put out. Via our no-entry-fee process, which will take place from July 6th – November 30th, 2012, filmmakers from around the world will be able to submit their work and show us what they got.
In the coming months, we’ll be looking forward to watching a great number of films and deciding which ones will go on to be showcased at this year’s upcoming festival.
In the midst of everything that is happening, two questions remain a mystery. One, where will the festival take place? and second, when will it take place?
The answer is that contrary to the first years of the festival when we called every person and their grandma’ to host or partner up with DBIFF, we actually have a number* of exceptional options for the host city and therefore unable to choose between them. But rest assured that if we don’t make up our minds soon, fate will. (*okay, just two).
That being said, we’re excited beyond any animated imagination for the features of the festival that will be documented in history for its short but experimental life and showcased as a music video either on a television series or a webcast.
The festival is now accepting submissions under all of the italicized categories mentioned above.
