Laredo, a film by Topaz Adizes, is about the ethics of illegal immigrants living and working in the US. In this film, a Texan named Sam is training Juan to fix pay phones in Laredo, Texas. As Sam gets to know Juan, he starts suspecting that Juan is an undocumented worker. This film addresses the notion of people being racist against their own kind and what is fair and just and what is not in the society we live in. Overall, this film opens our eyes to one of the main causes of disunity in society today – and perhaps a lesson as to how to become better.
